Mark Queen Elizabeth II’s landmark 70th Anniversary of her Coronation with a stunning limited-edition cover featuring the world’s first 2023 dated Coronation Jubilee coin

The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II took place on the 2nd June 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London. This was a truly historic royal occasion and it was televised for the very first time to a huge global audience estimated to be 277 million people. The spectacular ceremony officially celebrated the beginning of the longest ever reign of our entire British monarchy which sadly ended on the 8th September 2022. To mark the landmark 70th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation, a brand-new coin cover has rightly been issued.

The cover’s centrepiece features the world’s first 2023 dated coin issued for the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. The coin has been expertly struck in 31.1-grams of 999/1000 fine silver to the very highest proof finish. The coin’s reverse features our longest-serving sovereign official cypher at its centre surrounded by four floral emblems representing the United Kingdom – the English Rose, the Welsh Daffodil, the Scottish Thistle and the Irish Clover. The all-important year dates of 1953 and 2023 completes the design. On the obverses is an official portrait of the Queen which is some of the very few 2023 dated coins to feature the Queen’s effigy.

Perfectly complimenting the silver proof coin is a replica of a specially commissioned hand painting of the Queen by renowned British artist, Diane Fawcett. The striking image is a modern interpretation of the Queen on her coronation day wearing the St Edwards Crown.

To complete this historic cover, it includes two commemorative stamps issued in 2003 to mark the 50th anniversary of the coronation by the Royal Mail. The 1st class stamps are postmarked using a specially designed handstamp which sets in stone the low edition limit of only 499 covers.

As the world’s first 2023 Coronation Jubilee coin and due to the low worldwide edition limit, we anticipate record-levels of demand from collectors. Order your historic cover today before they all sell-out!
